Everyone knows those little nuisances on your nose and chin: spots and blackheads. They mostly afflict people with a combination skin type, and it’s hard to get rid of them for good. They usually start to appear in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin), where the skin produces most sebum, which clogs the pores.
But even if it’s tempting, don’t pick at your blackheads. If you do, bacteria from your fingers can get into the pores and cause inflammation. Then you have a fully grown pimple, which makes the problem even worse than better. But there’s an easy face mask that only needs two ingredients, and you’ll start to see results immediately! Use it regularly, and you’ll never have to fight blackheads again.
You only need a package of powdered gelatin and milk to make the mixture. If you’re vegetarian, you can use pectin instead of gelatin, or any other plant-based thickener.
Pour the gelatin powder into a small bowl.
Then add about two tablespoons of milk.
Combine the two ingredients into a paste.
The mixture should be a bit more liquid than yoghurt.
Microwave for 30 seconds. Take the bowl out and make sure it isn’t too hot for your face.
When the temperature is right, apply the mask to your face. Omit the eyes and mouth areas. It’s best to use a clean make-up brush that you don’t need any more; but if you don’t have one, you can use your hands. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes.
When the mask starts to come off around the mouth, you can peel it off. To get all the blackheads, start pulling from the outside towards the nose.
This is what it should look like when removed. To soothe your skin, apply some moisturizer, because the gelatin draws the moisture from your skin. Repeat this procedure regularly, and your blackheads will disappear entirely.
